Garfield Middle School: School Counseling Program

Hello! My name is Mrs. Fox and I am the school counselor at Garfield Middle School. 

Garfield Middle School’s School Counseling Program addresses ALL student needs to help them be successful. It is our hope that students and parents utilize the school counseling services.

Why middle school counselors?

Middle School is an exciting time for students. Today’s students are growing up among diverse experiences, new technologies, and expanding opportunities. 

Some adolescents today face many unique and diverse challenges. These challenges may include personal and developmental challenges that have a direct impact on academic achievement.

School counselors are professional educators with a mental health perspective. They are an integral piece to the educational program. School counselors align to the school’s mission to help all students achieve throughout their academic, career, and social-emotional journey.
